The XRS 8612 floor probe is a special development for precise leak detection in underground tanks and pipelines and is used in combination with the XRS 9012. Instead of allowing the highly volatile hydrogen tracer gas to escape at the surface, the probe extracts the gas directly from the soil or floor covering using its integrated vacuum pump. This enables even the smallest leaks in pipes or containers to be located quickly and accurately – without drilling or excavation. Equipped with a two-speed vacuum pump and the same high-speed hydrogen sensor as the XRS 9012, the detected gas is evaluated directly in the probe for particularly fast response times. The rechargeable battery, dust filter and overflow valve ensure safe and reliable operation, while LED indicators provide clear status information and allow the system to be reset to readiness at the push of a button.
