Simple one-button operation for fast moisture and temperature measurement
With just a single control button, the BM18 is switched on and all settings are made easily – including the selection between wood moisture and building moisture measurement as well as the temperature unit in °C or °F. For temperature measurements, the device displays the current ambient temperature directly on the screen. For moisture measurements, the pin-type measuring probes are simply pressed a few millimetres into the material to obtain fast and precise results. For work in dark environments, the integrated backlight can be activated and switches off automatically after three seconds.
To ensure a long battery life, the device switches off automatically after 30 seconds of inactivity, and a low battery status is clearly indicated on the display in good time. For wood moisture measurement, a calibration curve for commonly used European wood types is already stored in the device, so no further settings are required to quickly and reliably determine the moisture content.
