A key advantage of the microwave measurement method, in addition to its great measuring depth, is its independence from the salt content of the material. This means it makes no difference whether moisture is being measured in a new building or in an older structure with hygroscopic salt contamination. The measurement results remain reliable and comparable, allowing hidden moisture to be detected accurately regardless of the age or condition of the building material.
