Two classics, one goal: make water paths visible
Trotec Uranin has been a proven marking substance for leak detection and flow path tracing for many years and is one of the most powerful fluorescent tracer dyes available. This is precisely why Trotec now offers a bright alternative with Uranin Blue. Both Uranin variants are characterized by their specific strengths and special properties, so you can always choose the optimal tracer for your particular application. Whether for leak detection, tightness testing, or flow path verification, Trotec gives you the right Uranin solution to make even the smallest water movements clearly visible.
Uranin Green
Uranin Green is a highly fluorescent UV tracer dye that is already clearly visible to the naked eye and is therefore widely used for water marking. In diluted form, the highly water-soluble Uranin powder is toxicologically harmless and ideal for leak detection and tightness tests, especially in applications where colored water must penetrate materials capillarily and moisture appears with a time delay compared to direct flooding. Even the smallest leaks can be made clearly visible with the help of a UV lamp. While the pure powder or highly concentrated solutions appear dark red and do not fluoresce, Uranin develops its characteristic fluorescent yellow-green to green coloration only after dilution. Under UV illumination, this effect becomes particularly intense and unmistakable.
Uranin Blue
Like Uranin Green, this fluorescent dye emulsion is characterized by its extremely high fluorescence intensity. However, unlike Uranin Green, Uranin Blue is not visible to the naked eye. In diluted form, it therefore remains practically invisible on almost all surfaces in the visible spectrum. The combination of a completely solids-free and formaldehyde-free emulsion with particularly strong UV excitability makes Uranin Blue the ideal solution for leak detection in mineral building materials. Thanks to its extremely small particle size, Uranin Blue offers excellent capillary penetration and, at the same time, produces a very intense blue fluorescence under UV light. This allows large areas to be inspected quickly and efficiently. Uranin Blue is not supplied as a powder, but as a ready-to-use emulsion that can be easily diluted with water.
